The Monster Employment Index measures online job demand in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK. Monthly findings are based on job posting data collected from Monster and over 1,400 selected sites, representing employer activity within five countries. MEI launched in the US in April 2004 as a monthly analysis of U.S online job demand. The European version launched in June 2005 providing European labour market watchers with a monthly snapshot of online recruitment activity.
